Police have raided a property in Rotherhithe and arrested two people on suspicion of firearm offences.
Officers executed a search warrant at an address on Rotherhithe Street at around 2pm on Wednesday, November 15.
They arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of firearms offences who remain in custody.
In the aftermath, passers-by were stunned to see a forensic team working behind a police cordon.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday 15 November, officers executed a search warrant at an address in Rotherhithe Street.
“A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in custody.”
