Southwark residents are being invited to take a selfie with one of the borough’s most famous and historic sons, William Shakespeare.
A statue has been unveiled to the playwright in Southwark Cathedral after its reopening on Monday.
“We are so pleased to be able to welcome visitors to the cathedral once again and have taken all possible precautions to ensure that the cathedral is a safe and tranquil environment for our visitors,” said its sub-dean, Canon Michael Rawson.
Visitors are being encouraged to take their photos with Shakespeare by the Cathedral, and share them on social media with the hashtag withthebard.
