A pint and a shave will be the order of the day in a new tour on Bermondsey’s Beer Mile.
The series of free events will see punters of beer-mile taprooms get a free trim or shave to mark the opening of a barbershop on nearby Ropewalk, Maltby Street.
Leo Castro, of Castro’s Barbershop, will be taking his tricks of the trade to five breweries over the course of September in the ‘Beer and Beard Tour’.
The business opened at Arch 49 in the Ropewalk at the end of last month. Barcelona-born Mr Castro has been a barber for more than thirty years.
Aisha Khan from Castro’s Barbershop said: “We love being a part of the Bermondsey community and wanted to use this opportunity to work with local businesses as well as meeting local people.”
