A Bermondsey man who died after jumping into the Thames to save a drowning woman showed a “sheer act of bravery”, an inquest has heard.
Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole – Jimi – showed “quite astonishing” courage to jump into the Thames on the way home from work in April 2021, assistant coroner Dr Julian Morris said at Inner London Coroner’s Court.
Concluding, Dr Morris said: “This was a sad loss of a young man who wanted to help, in an emergency, a member of the public who had fallen into the Thames.”
