A man is in a “serious but stable” condition after being shot in the Aylesbury Estate yesterday evening.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old man was shot in Alvey Street at around 5pm.
The man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to a south London hospital on blue lights by an ambulance.
His condition, while serious, is not thought to be life-threatening.

Surrey Square Primary School, located close to the crime scene, is closed today due to the incident.
No arrests have been made. Officers from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.
