Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man was violently assaulted in Walworth on Monday.
Police were called to a park off Townsend Street, in SE17, on Monday, August 26, after reports of an attack.
They found a 36-year-old man suffering facial injuries, who was hospitalised and has now been discharged.
The Met is appealing for information, and wants to speak with anyone in the area at the time or who witnessed the assault.
A 29-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of assault and has now been released under investigation.
