A man was stabbed and five other people injured by shotgun pellets in a serious incident in Brixton in the early hours of this morning.
Officers were called to reports of shots fired in Ridgway Road near Loughborough Junction at 1.27am on Sunday, June 13, and found a 32-year-old man with stab injuries at the scene.
He was rushed to hospital and is said to be in a ‘potentially life-threatening condition’. The victim also had shotgun pellet injuries in his legs.
Three other men and two women were also treated in hospital with similar pellet injuries over the course of the same night. None are believed to have life-threatening injuries.
Four self-presented at hospital and a fifth was picked up by paramedics from elsewhere in Lambeth at around 3.40am.
A section 60 is in place from 2.30pm today (June 13) covering most of Lambeth.
Officers say enquiries are underway with no one arrested so far.
