A 23-year-old man is in hospital after being found stabbed in Camberwell New Cemetery yesterday.
He is said to be in a stable condition with injuries that are not life-threatening after officers and paramedics came to his aid shortly before 2pm on Friday, July 19.
Another man, aged in his late teens, was also taken to hospital – he was not stabbed.
A section 60 stop and search area was put in place across Southwark by Detective Inspector Luke Williams.
Police say one person has now been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Officers have asked anyone with information about the incident at Brenchley Gardens to get in touch by calling 101.
Owing to a stabbing in the #SE23 area, a Section 60 Stop & Search power has been authorised for use between 1530-0230 due to the serious nature of the incident which we believe will heighten tensions.
