Police are searching for a gunman after a shooting in Bermondsey in the early hours of Friday morning.
The victim managed to make it to a south London hospital, where the police were called. He was treated for gunshot wounds, which were not life-threatening.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred under the bridge in Rail Sidings Road, just off St James Road, at around 3.45am.
Police have not released any description of the person or people wanted in connection with the shooting, which took place just around the corner from the St James of Bermondsey pub.
CCTV footage from the pub unfortunately only shows police arriving at the scene and does not cover the area where the attack took place.
Detectives from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating. Enquiries continue. Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
