Two men arrested after ‘knife fight’ in broad daylight leaves teenager stabbed in Nunhead.
Reports were made to police at 6.10pm yesterday evening (Thursday, July 23) of men armed with knives fighting on Harlescott Road, near Nunhead Cemetery.
A man, believed to be in his late teens, was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital. His condition is said to be ‘not life-threatening’.
London’s air ambulance was seen landing by Ivydale School the same evening.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, affray, and possession of an offensive weapon. Both are in custody.
A section 60 search power, and section 35a dispersal zone was authorised in the immediate area for the rest of that evening until 7am today (Friday, July 24). Police remain at the cordon.
