A woman has been arrested after she crashed into another a car – causing it to flip onto its roof – having failed to stop for police.
The motorist, in her 20s, was arrested by police at the scene in Rotherhithe New Road yesterday, Monday, on suspicion of dangerous driving, having no insurance, and not driving in accordance with a licence.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 3.18pm yesterday following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
A black Hyundai was flipped onto its roof during the collision with a white Volkswagen Polo.
A fire spokesman told the News nobody had to be cut from the car, but paramedics were at the scene.
“A car that failed to stop for police collided with another car flipping it on its roof,” said a police spokesman.
“Neither driver was seriously injured and treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
“The driver of the car that failed to stop for police – a woman in her 20s – was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, no insurance and driving not in accordance with a licence.
“Enquiries continue.”
