Families can celebrate Halloween in Castle Square this Saturday with free spooky activities – including free Halloween treats.
On Saturday October 30 from 11am until 5pm, Londoners can celebrate the occasion by getting involved in a series of workshops, as well as taking in the scary decorations, music, food, drinks and more.
There will also be pumpkin carving and a spooky story telling corner for children – as well as Halloween characters walking around.
The story telling corner will tell the true local story of the ghost of Elephant and Castle tube station, the ghost in the haunted castle who walks the streets on Halloween night and a spooky Latin American day of the dead ghost story.
The stories will be told at 11:30am, 2pm and 4pm.
Kids will also be able to make their own ghost lollipops in a workshop.
Meanwhile, the traders at Castle Square will be providing treats to the public for free on rotation.
There will also be discounts off all the traders at Castle Square and Ash Avenue next door until the end of October.
Castle Square is located just 5 minutes’ walk from Elephant and Castle tube station and is adjacent to the Sainsbury’s store at 50 New Kent Road.
Additionally Elephant Park, also near the Elephant and Castle tube station, has been transformed into a Halloween pumpkin patch.
Hundreds of pumpkins carved by the Elephant Park community will be display over the Halloween weekend.
The pumpkins were sourced sustainably from a farm close to London and will be recycled after Sunday.
