An artist from East Dulwich will compete for the “Landscape artist of the year” on the Sky Arts TV after gaining a wildcard entry.
Annette Hamley-Jenkins, will appear on the second episode of this year’s series on Tuesday, October 22, where she is taking on the challenge of painting East Sussex’s Hertsmonceaux Observatory alongside seven artists to have made it through previous rounds.
The winning artist will then go through to the semi-final and gain a £10,000 commission to create a landscape piece of Venice for the Royal Institute of British Architects.
