A free Latin-American film festival paying tribute Latinx women is being hosted at Dulwich Park from July 23 to 24.

At ‘IDENTITIES’, visitors will explore Latin America’s many cultures through a curated programme of short films.

Alongside screenings, dance workshops, music and regional cuisine will help visitors immerse fully in the experience.

Paola Melli, Founder and Director of South Social Film Festival (SSF), the team behind the event, said: “We are excited to come back for the second edition of the IDENTITIES Latin America Film Festival.

“Our festival is built around the concept of inclusion and celebrating diverse, emerging talent from every corner of the world.

“We see this as an opportunity to welcome audiences and communities back into a festival setting and engage them with new art and fresh perspectives.”

Audiences will vote on their favourite films, and meet the filmmakers. The winning films will be announced online the next day.

The event is a collaboration between SSFF and Femme Frontera, a film organisation that explores themes of minority groups, gender roles, LGBTQ+ and immigrants.

The festival goes from 6pm to 10.30pm, Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24, at Dulwich Park.
