This summer, Pop Up Screens will be screening a selection of box office hits at the beautiful Ruskin Park in Denmark Hill, writes Simon Throssell …
From Friday, 27 to Sunday, 29 July, they will be showing Get Out (15), Grease (PG) and Ferris Beuller’s Day Off (12A) respectively.
Pop Up Screens founder, Dave Leydon, said: “Outdoor cinema is still something that’s got a certain romance to it that gets lost in the multiplexes.
“The magic of being outside with a movie you love is pretty hard to beat.”
Doors open at 7:30 pm, with the films starting at 9 pm.
Tickets cost £7 for a child and adult prices start from £12.50.
This year Pop Up Screens are also introducing special VIP seats for moviegoers. For only £20, you will get a chair in a prime location as well as a free drink.
You are welcome to bring your own blankets, beanbags and cushions or alternatively you can hire a deckchair for £4.
Food will be provided by Seaside Pizza; a Brighton-based company who will be offering lovely sourdough wood fired pizzas all night long.
