James Allen’s Girls’ Schools, in line with many other schools in the borough, has not published full GCSE results data for this year.
However, head teacher Alex Hutchinson said students’ had been awarded the grades they deserve and the school is extremely proud of their achievements over the last two years. She also praised staff for their work throughout a difficult few months.
In a statement published on the school’s website, she said: “I am very pleased that the commitment and hard work that so characterises this year group has been reflected in the grades that they have received today.
“They are a high-achieving, hard working group of young women who I know will continue to do great things in the Sixth Form and beyond.
“I am very grateful to the members of staff in school for their hard work as we have steered through the recent changes to government policy, and we are very much here to support those students who may have any concerns.’
“We would like to congratulate our Year Eleven pupils and are so looking forward to welcoming them into the Sixth Form in a few weeks’ time.”
