SE16: Man treated for head injuries after collision outside Brunel pub

A man has been rushed to hospital for head injuries after a collision outside the Brunel pub this afternoon.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene on Brunel Road shortly after 2.30pm. The emergency services have taped off the road while they deal with the incident.

Photos taken at the scene show two cars involved in the collision. One of them appears to have struck the pavement outside the popular boozer.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service told the News they treated a man at scene for his head injuries. He has since been taken to hospital.

“We were called at 2.33pm today (27 October) to reports of a road traffic collision on Brunel Road, Rotherhithe,” she said.

“We sent an ambulance crew and two medics in cars to the scene. 

“We treated a man at the scene for head injuries and took him to hospital.”

The police have been contacted for more information.
