Police are trying to find a person who fell into the River Thames from Tower Bridge this morning (April 20).
Officers earlier rescued a woman from the river, according to the London Fire Brigade.
A helicopter joined City of London police, river police, firefighters and lifeboat crews at the scene on Tuesday morning. The people are thought to have fallen into the river at around 8am.
It remains unclear who the people are, how old they are and why they fell in.
A spokesperson for the City of London Police said: “Officers from City of London Police are working with marine units and the police helicopter to find a person who was seen falling into the river from Tower Bridge this morning.
“Work is ongoing to identify the person.”
