Police are investigating a house fire in Kennington that left two men needing hospital treatment.
The fire broke out on a terraced house converted into flats on Chester Way, to the south-west of the Elephant and Castle roundabout, close to midnight on Thursday (December 16).
Part of a four-roomed flat on the first floor of the house was damaged in the fire. Ambulance workers took two men in the house who had suffered smoke inhalation to hospital for treatment.
Some fifteen firefighters in three fire engines took about an hour and a half to get the fire under control. The fire brigade is looking into the cause of the fire along with the police.
