Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Keep your eyes peeled for a procession of animals passing through the borough later this month, as conservationists in fancy dress raise money for endangered species.
From May 22 to May 26, activists will march the length of the Thames in what is being dubbed the ‘Thames Path Migration.’ They will raise awareness about the plights of various animals and fundraise for vets in Limpopo, South Africa. Day one of the event – called the ‘Buffalo stage’ – will pass along the north of the borough. To take part in the walk or donate, visit www.africachampions.webs.com
