One of two open days are being held tomorrow (Friday January 11) at St Thomas Hospital for nursing and midwifery.

More than 6,600 babies are born at St Thomas’ Hospital each year with eleven arriving on Christmas Day  – three girls and eight boys – between 3.22am and 9.55pm.  And last week the News reported on an East Dulwich couple welcomed their baby daughter into the world just minutes after midnight on New Year’s Day – meaning she could be one of the first children born in Britain in 2019.

Proud parents Veronica and Benn Andrews welcomed their daughter into the world at 12.03am at St Thomas’ hospital, just yards away from where the iconic London Eye fireworks were taking place.

So if you are looking for an exciting place to start your career or an experienced nurse or midwife looking for a new challenge you can turn up for the open day between 10am-2pm tomorrow Friday 11 January.

The other open day on Thursday 31 January 2019, 1.30pm – 4pm is for the Acute Medicine Directorate.

The Trust’s Older Persons Unit consists of Alexandra, Anne and Henry Wards, providing acute care to a diverse client base from  admission to discharge.

These three wards work closely with both the Ambulatory Older Person Unit and The Older Persons

Assessment Unit to support patients to be cared for in the right location at the right time.

They are recruiting now for staff to be part of their riendly, welcoming and supportive multi-disciplinary teams.

For details call Darlene Romero, Matron, Older Persons on: 020 7188 7188 (ext 51166) or see:
