A pub landlady organising a fundraising event for London’s Air Ambulance has put an urgent call out for help, as she has received no donations for the raffle just days from the event.
Julie O’Sullivan of the Queen Victoria pub in Southwark Park Road has arranged for a rock n’ roll extravaganza to take place in the Blue in Sunday.
Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis tributes will keep the crowds all shook up in the sunshine but Julie is concerned the raffle will be a washout if the donations don’t start coming in.
All money raised on the day will go towards the London Air Ambulance, the life-saving charity that serves the ten million people who live, work and travel within the M25. They attend five serious incidents per day, providing a level of treatment and reaching areas that ambulances cannot. They are currently fundraising to buy a second helicopter, which will help the charity to reach up to 400 more patients per year by aircraft. To make a raffle prize donation, please contact Julie on as soon as possible on 07958 966822. The event will run from 10am to 8pm.
