Two hospital serving Southwark have announced a shake up with new trustee appointees to their retrospective board’s, writes Jack Friend...
Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust’ non-executive advisor Ian Playford will now serve as a non-executive director for four year until May 2026.
Playford has a host of experience as a non-executive director at Royal Brompton and Harefield in 2019 before their merger with Guy’s and St Thomas’.
Sir Hugh Taylor, Chair of Guy’s and St Thomas’, said: “We are delighted Ian is joining our Board as a Non-Executive Director. Ian has extensive experience in property, investment and system transformation and has been a senior executive across the private and public sector for more than 30 years.
“He has already made a significant contribution as a Non-Executive Advisor and we look forward to welcoming him to the Board.”
Other appointments include Dr Sheila Shribman, Steve Weiner and Dr Javed Khan as Non-Executive Directors on the Trust’s Board of Directors.
Kings College Hospital has announced that Priscilla Lutalo who is Head of Audit for Operations & Payments at a global financial institution has been appointed to the trustees and committee members.
Priscilla said: “I’m looking forward to using my professional experience to help guide and strengthen King’s College Hospital Charity at this important stage in its development. As a local resident I know how important it is to support staff to provide excellent patient care in our hospitals. I’m proud to be part of a charity that is helping to take that care further and ensure it benefits everyone in our community.”
The charity has also announced the appointments of Ian McKetty and Gillian Burgess to the Board of Trustees, and Florence Akende to one of its sub-committees.
