A mystery person from Southwark became a millionaire overnight in a EuroMillions special draw last month – but has yet to claim the prize.
Lottery players are now being urged to check and double-check their EuroMillions UK Millionare Maker code to see if they are sitting on the winning ticket.
If no one comes forward by January 15, next year, the million plus interest will go to National Lottery Funded charities.
On July 19, twenty people were made millionaires overnight, with just four prizes still to be claimed.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We already have 16 lucky winners who are new millionaires and we’re now desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.
“This amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.
“We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old EuroMillions tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding, so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa.
“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim.”
The winning code for this prize was JSRR 12869.
If you aren’t in possession of a ticket but believe you have a genuine claim, you can write to Camelot – but only within 30 days of the draw.
