As Election Day neared, candidates in the borough’s closest election battle called in some famous faces for their final campaigning push.

Labour candidate for Bermondsey and Old Southwark Neil Coyle was supported by comedians Jo Brand and Steve Coogan, with the duo campaigning alongside Coyle in Surrey Quays and Canada Water respectively.

Meanwhile, his Liberal Democrats opponent Simon Hughes favoured a sporting approach.
