The Liberal Democrats won the vote in Southwark while the Brexit Party won a sweeping victory across the country as a whole.
Below are the results in Southwark, the Lib Dems, who are advocating a second referendum and remaining in the EU, topped the poll with 27,128 votes, followed by Labour with 20,569 and the Green Party 15,286. Nigel Farage’s Brexit party came fourth in Southwark with 9,072.
In London, the Lib Dems won and were placed second in the country, with 21 per cent of the vote and 15 seats. This means that in London the Lib Dems elected 3 MEPs, Brexit Party and Labour elected 2 MEPs each and the Greens the remaining seat. The Conservatives now have no MEPs in London.
Across the country Labour and the Conservatives were dealt a massive blow as the Brexit Party came top in North East, North West, East of England, Wales, West Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber, the South West and South East.
