Aminata Sellu is concerned about the future of young people and the difficulties families face.
The mother-of-four says she will campaign for free education and the scrapping of tuition fees, to fight the closure of youth centres, and for a better NHS if elected in Camberwell and Peckham.
The Workers Revolutionary candidate has said she would also fight for an end to zero hour contracts and better healthcare for the community.
“Zero hour contracts are destroying the care sector,” she said. “Workers have no definite wages or hours, no sickness or holiday pay, and often not enough to pay the rent.”
“I will support NHS staff in their campaign for a pay rise and fight hospital closures and privatisation. I will fight to keep wards open at our local hospitals either at Lewisham or King’s College.”
“Many families are faced with homelessness because rents keep going up,” she added. “I will campaign for the building of more council housing in our borough.”
