Dulwich Hamlet FC is expected to share Tooting and Mitcham United’s ground until the end of the season.
The Bostik League club played its first game at Imperial Fields, in Mitcham, against the Metropolitan Police side on Tuesday, March 13.
They are also expected to play their next match against Worthing at Imperial Fields this Sunday, March 18.
The club looked for a ground share for the remainder of the season after being served notice on its licence to play at Champion Hill by Meadow.
However, Meadow has insisted the club has been told it can play out the remainder of the season at the ground.
In a statement on Monday, Dulwich Hamlet Supporters’ Trust said: “We’d like to place on record our thanks to Tooting and Mitcham United for agreeing to share their ground with the club, and to the countless individuals who have shown their support for the club in different ways over recent days.”
Tooting and Mitcham United FC chairman Steve Adkins said: “We are delighted to announce that Tooting and Mitcham United have agreed to host Dulwich Hamlet for their last few games of the season in the event that they are unable to continue playing at Champion Hill.
“We are pleased to be able to help a fellow club within the Isthmian League. This is subject to the league giving their consent.
“We do very much hope that Dulwich will be able to resolve their issues speedily and we wish the club all the very best in their endeavours.”
The News contacted Meadow Residential for comment but did not receive a response by the time of going to press.
Hamlet is also looking for volunteers for a variety roles for the remainder of the season.
