Television star Rachel Riley spent last Saturday waitressing at Terry’s Café, Borough, promoting Small Business Saturday.
The 29-year-old Countdown presenter said helping out at the Great Suffolk Street café was “loads of fun”, and urged residents to remember independent businesses when out this holiday season.
She said: “My shift in the cafe was loads of fun but it was more tiring than I remember from my own Saturday job! Small businesses like Terry’s add personality and individuality and are vital for local communities, so I’m fully behind this campaign to celebrate and support small traders around the country.”
