New Fisher boss Allan Fenn put out different sides in each half as the hosts drew 0-0 in a friendly with Sutton United at St Paul’s last weekend.
Fenn has reshaped his squad since taking over from Dean Harrison following last season’s third-place finish in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division, as the Fish go in search of a second promotion in three seasons.
There was a good crowd of 125 in Rotherhithe to see the new-look team in action for the first time, and they were rewarded with a free-flowing game that somehow ended scoreless despite the chances.
As well as building his squad for the 2019-20 season, Fenn has also been putting together his backroom team.
He was joined in the technical area for the first time by Ajay Ashanike, his new assistant manager. Ashanike was previously player-manager with Tower Hamlets.
Jacque Edouard, who was part of the coaching staff at Braintree Town, is now part of the coaching staff at St Paul’s.
Fenn has also brought in Matty West and Kevin Wilkins as scouts.
Meanwhile on Wednesday night the Fish defeated Kensington & Ealing Borough 3-2, with goals from Jamie Yahi and a double from Billy Brown.
Fisher play a Millwall XI at St Paul’s on Friday night. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
