Fisher lost 2-1 to Chatham Town last weekend as the hosts scored their 100th goal in the league this season.
In front of an impressive crowd of 692 at the Bauvill Stadium on non-league day, Dan Bradshaw – brother of Millwall striker Tom – shot over and Tommy Taylor denied Ryan Hayes.
The Fish took the lead against the run of play as the hosts scored an own goal following Isaac Thompson’s corner.
Chatham equalised before half-time as Hayes finished at the back post.
Fisher resisted intense pressure from a home side in a two-horse title race with Sheppey United, but they were finally broken down with 20 minutes left. Bradshaw’s movement pinched him a sliver of space and he tucked home a low cross.
Fisher were reduced to ten men when Vincent Follea was sent to the sin bin for dissent and then boss Ajay Ashanike was booked for questioning the amount of time his player was off, which appeared to stretch to fifteen minutes.
Fisher are fifteenth in the SCEFL Premier Division table. They host Hollands & Blair this Saturday. Kick-off at St Paul’s is 3pm.
