JAPHET Tanganga will make his first Millwall start against Preston North End this afternoon.
The Tottenham loanee came on for the final 20 minutes against Queens Park Rangers in the 2-0 defeat last week but will hoping to make an impact from the start.
He is in the line-up alongside Ryan Longman as part of two changes.
Danny McNamara drops to the bench while Duncan Watmore misses out with illness. Tanganga slots into the back three while versatile Longman could play in the hole alongside Zian Flemming behind striker Kevin Nisbet.
New signing Michael Obafemi is on the bench.
Preston also have made two changes and are missing a player, Ali McCann, through sickness.
Dai Cornell drops out and is replaced by Freddie Woodman in goal after the goalkeeper recovered from his own illness that saw him miss last week’s 2-1 loss at Leeds United.
Ryan Ledson replaces McCann.
Millwall are unbeaten in their last nine games Preston with Flemming scoring five times in three games against North End.
The Lions are looking to avoid four defeats in a row in all competitions for the first time since January 2022.
