JOE Edwards does not know what precisely the issue was that ruled Brooke Norton-Cuffy out of the Coventry game but insists it is not serious.
Millwall lost 2-1 at the CBS Arena against the club who Norton-Cuffy were playing for on loan this time last year.
But the full-back missed out on being part of the action due to what Edwards believes could either be a “mild hamstring” issue or “strong fatigue.”
The 20-year-old could potentially be back for the home game against Ipswich Town on Wednesday night or the match against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Edwards said: “It’s not serious. Even to the point where… is it a mild hamstring injury or is it just strong fatigue? We’re actually quite unsure, the scans aren’t definitive enough.
“But it was enough to rule him out of training this week and the game today and in terms of having two more games this week in Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday, with Brooke it’s kind of going to be day-by-day, assess how he goes on the training pitch and look.
“That element of fatigue. Brooke is one who sometimes you forget how young he is and how much football’s he’s played at this level, which is a physically demanding level. He has a lot asked of him every game with the position he plays and the style of player he is. So we’ve just had to look after him this week and he wasn’t able to be a part of it.”
