The disappointment of last weeks controversial defeat at Bridon Ropes was a distant memory by the time the hosts flew out of the traps early on, setting Phoenix on the back foot with their high pressing game.
The relentless pressure finally told in the 19th minute, when Billy Jolley cut in from the right wing and unleashed a fierce drive that flew into the net off the underside of the bar.
The second goal followed just seven minutes later – Jack Gibbons struck an unstoppable volley into the top right-hand corner of the net.
Charlie Burgess headed in a Jolley corner at the far post on 31 minutes to treble the lead, before Stansfeld added two more goals in five second half minutes.
The first was a neat finish by Georgie Lowes, before Freddie Sansom added the fifth and final goal, cutting in from the left, burying a low shot in off the far post.
Stansfeld manager Lloyd Bradley was inevitably pleased after the game: “This was our best performance of the season by far. The boys thoroughly deserved their plaudits today, as they not only worked their socks off for each other, but they also played some super attacking football.
“The defence were also superb on the day. They were totally professional and played with tremendous discipline, which is something that has been lacking all season.
“There has been a steady improvement over the last four games and I hope we are now able to continue with this run of form”
Stansfeld now travel to Rochester United in the Kent Senior Trophy on Saturday. Kick-off is at 3pm.
