Southbank Centre will host a day of free DJ sets and activities this Sunday (30 August) to raise awareness and campaign for climate action.
LIVE + BREATHE will take over the Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank from 2pm, bringing together artists, campaigners and communities to call for clean air and environmental justice.
The Climate Futures Marketplace in the Clore Ballroom will showcase work from local community groups, artists, campaigners and students from London College of Communication, alongside creative projects focused on climate action.

Sounds of Solidarity on the Riverside Terrace will celebrate Black music and culture in South London, with DJ sets, live performances and dancing.
The programme includes reggae, dancehall, hip hop, R&B, Afrobeats, funk, soul and disco, with performances from Shabba Party & Friends, Mya Mehmi of Pxssy Palace and Rotation, as well as dancers from South London-based Zaiah Arts.
The event has been organised by LIVE + BREATHE, a Black-led, non-profit organisation founded by artist and musician Love Ssega in 2022 to campaign for an equitable right to clean air.

Ssega said: “Music and culture give us a way to bring communities together and show that climate action can be bold, creative and something we can all take part in.”
Both events are free to attend and open to all ages, with no ticket required.
When: Sunday, 30 August, from 2pm
Where: Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX
