The Catford Foodie Trail has begun with discounts at local Lewisham eateries, writes Tom Appleby…

The trail, which is on now until this Saturday, June 27, is a week-long celebration of Catford’s diverse food scene.

It is part of the build-up to the Catford Community Festival on 27 June, a free event on Catford Broadway with live music, art, comedy and family-friendly activities.

The festival has been delivered by Lewisham Council with local partners and highlights the borough’s culture and community.

Mayor of Lewisham, Liam Shrivastava, said: “This is about celebrating everything that makes Catford special – our diverse communities, incredible culture, music, creativity, great food, and that strong community spirit you feel right across the neighbourhood.

“It’s also a chance to show some love to the brilliant local businesses and the community groups at the heart of our town centre.”

The special offers along the trail are as follows:

  • Broadway Café – 12% off all week
  • Catford Bridge Tavern – 20% off food and drink with mention of the trail
  • Chef Tuoyo – discounted meals and free puff puff
  • Eastern Queen – 10% off food
  • Taro – 20% off food orders
  • Riva Morde – baby Margherita pizza and drink for £6
  • Stage Door Café – 10% off food on Saturday 27 June
  • Mye Green Mango – discounted jerk and BBQ meals
  • HQ Jerk Shack – daily lunchtime specials
  • FLK Groceries – ‘magic box’ deals
  • The Black Horse and Harrow – loyalty card with a free drink reward
