THE ANNOYANCE for a brilliant Fisher side chasing a second promotion against the odds is that their rivals at the top of the SCEFL Premier Division table also keep winning.
Dean Harrison’s side cut the gap to Corinthian at the top of the table to just a point last weekend with their 1-0 win at Canterbury City.
Chandler Kasai scored the only goal of the game in the 20th minute to give the Fish a fourth straight league win as they kept a third consecutive clean sheet.
But Fisher dropped to third after the midweek results. Corinthian won their game in hand, defeating Canterbury 1-0 to move four points clear of Fisher.
And Cray Valley also took advantage of their game in hand, when they were 2-0 winners at Punjab United.
Harrison’s Fisher take on AFC Croydon at St Paul’s in Rotherhithe this Saturday. Kick-off is 3pm as they look to take advantage of any slips above them.
