The sunshine stayed out all day for a ‘fiesta’ – Latin American style – at Draper House on Saturday.
To celebrate the 50th birthday of the Draper Estate, built by London County Council as part of the post-war redevelopment of the Elephant & Castle in 1965, games, live music, and a bouncy castle were laid on by the Draper Residents’ Association.
After seeing the animals from Vauxhall City Farm, excited children lined up to have a go at striking the piñata blindfolded, while live bands and a BBQ kept the grown-ups happy.
