Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich’s principal gave her thanks to the year eleven students receiving their results today and the staff who supported them.
In particular, she highlighted two students who were stuck overseas during lockdown but still achieved brilliant grades. Pupils Kaziwa and Habibah attained a crop of 7-9 grades despite working in a different time zone.
Another fantastic performance came from Gayatri Subhash, who joined the school at the beginning of year eleven from abroad bagged nine GCSEs at grade 8 and above, while Maryam Hassan achieved eleven GCSEs at grade 8 and above.
Carrie Senior, principal of Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich, said: “Huge congratulations to our GCSE class of 2021 and to our wonderful parents, carers and teachers who have supported the girls through such a tumultuous two years.
“We are delighted that their results reflect their hard work and determination to succeed, through two lockdowns, multiple periods for some of isolating at home and huge adjustments to how they learn.
“A thank you also to their teachers, teaching assistants and our support staff, who helped our girls carry on learning.”
