Kids at Rotherhithe Primary School celebrated their last day before Christmas break by raising nearly £300 for charity by donning festive jumpers.
Over 100 pupils ditched their blue school uniform for the day and instead wore tops adorned with bells, stars, glitter and baubles on December 18.
The children raised money by holding a bucket collection outside the school that morning, raising £283 for charity.
The stunt was part of ITV’s Text Santa – Christmas Jumper Day, with the money raised going towards Macmillan Cancer Care, Save the Kids and the Make A Wish Foundation.
Teaching assistant Donna Powell, who organised the fundraising event, said: “It was great to get the kids involved. We raise money throughout the year but it’s great to do something a bit Christmassy at this time of year.”
