A driver has been arrested after a cyclist was hospitalised following a collision involving a bus in Peckham.
Police were called to Peckham Road, near the Southwark Register Office, at around 1.50am on Saturday, December 16.
The cyclist was rushed to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed to a date early in March 2024.
A Met Pet police spokesperson said: “Police were called at about 01:50hrs on Saturday, 16 December to reports of bus in collision with a lamppost and cyclist on Peckham Road, SE5.
“Emergency services attended. The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.Road closures were temporarily put in place.
“The driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and later bailed to a date in early March 2024 pending further enquiries.”
