Dulwich Hamlet won a league game for the first time since August – and dedicated the victory to ‘superfan’ Mishi Morath.
Gavin Rose’s Hamlet defeated Hungerford Town 4-1 away on Saturday, their first National League South win since August 24 and just their fifth league victory of the season.
The Hamlet got their first league win in fourteen attempts a day after Mishi’s death was announced.
Dylan Kearney, Ben Chapman, Jack Connors and Danny Mills scored second-half goals to put Dulwich 4-0 up before Yan Klukowski’s late consolation.
Tributes poured in for Mishi from Hamlet fans and the wider football community at the weekend. Dulwich will remember Mishi before this Boxing Day’s fixture against Hampton & Richmond Borough at Champion Hill.
FULLTIME:
That one was for you Mishi. It finishes 4-1 and we return to SE22 with all three points.
