A Waterloo-based graffiti tunnel will host a free Christmas street party this Thursday with cabaret, wreath making and a festive film screening.
‘Miracle on Leake Street’ – the free event that sees London’s longest graffiti tunnel (300 metres) transform into an alternative festive celebration – returns this Thursday (December 15).
Held at Leake Street Arches in Waterloo, the tunnel will host a special Christmas street party, which will kick-off with a cabaret performance by non-binary artist, Pi the Mime.
There will be a screening of ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’, as well as a wreath-making workshop, festive face-painting and a craft market.
Food and drink will be available from Lower Marsh Market traders and Leake Street Arches bars and restaurants, including Banh Bao Brothers, Draughts, Mamuska and more.
Contributions from the wreath making workshop and donations made throughout the evening will go to Waterloo Foodbank.
The event is on Thursday December 15, from 6pm – 9pm at Leake Street, Waterloo, SE1 7NN and is free to attend.
It is being run by WeAreWaterloo and Southbank BID with support from local businesses and organisations.
