MILLWALL’S FA Cup fifth-round match-winner Shaun Cummings refused to get carried away after his momentous moment on Saturday.
Cummings scored the third goal of his Millwall career to stun Leicester City in the last minute and send Millwall into a last-eight clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Lions vice-captain Steve Morison said afterwards Cummings was the “calmest man in the world”, and Millwall’s cup hero embodied those words in his post-match press conference.
Asked how he would celebrate the win, Cummings said: “We’ve got a game on Tuesday, so, recovery. We’ve got loads of games coming up, Saturday-Tuesday, in the league. Our objective is to get promoted.
“That’s just me in general, I don’t really try and let things get to me too much. I’m just a calm person in general. You could see it out on the pitch, I suppose, when I scored that goal.
“I try and relax as much as I can, finasteride there aren’t too many things I let get to me. I’m just myself, to be honest. I’m not faking, in a sense. I’m just me.
“Obviously the FA Cup run is nice but we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do in the league and at least stay in the play-off spots.
“We move forward to Tuesday and try to get a win then.”
Cummings, 27, was also asked where the moment ranked in his career and was typically even-handed.
“I’ve been in the game quite a while so it’s hard to say it would be top, but it’s definitely up there,” he said. “Me being in this game, getting my first pro contract, that’s up there because it’s taken me to where I am now.
“Getting promoted to the Premier League with Reading, that’s up there.
“It’s a very good moment in my career.”
