MILLWALL are out of the FA Youth Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Reading in the third round on Thursday night.
George Alexander, son of ex-Lions legend Gary, pulled a goal back after Danny Loader and Ayo Faniyan had put the young Royals two in front.
Both sides were reduced to 10 men in the 51st minute, Lucas Sinclair seeing red for Millwall and Reading’s Ethan Coleman also dismissed following an altercation.
Lions goalkeeper Sam Jackson saved Jordan Holsgrove’s penalty in the 66th minute to keep his side in it.
Isaac Olaofe hit the side netting with five minutes left and that was as close the visitors came to an equaliser as they exited the competition.
