MILLWALL assistant manager Callum Davidson is set to take over as boss of St Johnstone.
Davidson, 43, (above right) is close to agreeing a deal to succeed Tommy Wright at the Scottish Premiership club. The Saints finished sixth in last season’s truncated top flight.
Lions coach Adam Barrett is stepping into the assistant manager’s role on an interim basis, and under-23 boss Kevin Nugent will help out with the first team until the end of the season.
Davidson joined Millwall as Gary Rowett’s assistant last October after the pair previously worked together at Stoke.
Former Blackburn and Leicester defender Davidson was St Johnstone assistant manager from 2013 to 2018 and has also worked as a first-team coach with Dunfermline.
