NEIL Harris has revealed that he had a meeting with Jordan Archer late last week outlining what the goalkeeper has to do to have the chance to regain his place in Millwall’s starting XI.
Archer was dropped from the side for the home game with Swansea before the international break and his name didn’t appear in the match-day squad, with third-choice Dave Martin on the bench.
Archer joined up with Alex McLeish’s Scotland squad after the defeat to the Swans, before returning to Millwall last Thursday.
Amos and Martin kept their respective places for Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United at The Den.
“Jordan came back from international duty and he has been fantastic. He came in Thursday, Friday, trained Saturday as well,” Harris told NewsAtDen on Monday.
“I had a really good chat with Jordan on Thursday after he came back from his Scotland duties. He had a good 10 days away.
“We had a conversation based on how he gets himself back into the 11. I said to him I was really pleased with Ben against Swansea, he deserved his chance, he’s been patient. And Dave is great within the changing room. He has come onto the bench and I didn’t want to change that dynamic.
“Jordan has got his head down and trained really well Thursday, Friday, Saturday morning.
“He’s fit for selection and will be considered when I choose to bring him back into the fold. He also knows he needs to get his head down and graft.
“On the back of our conversation his attitude has been fantastic.”
