CHRISTIAN Mbulu says he grew up at Millwall and is thankful for everyone at the club for helping him become a better player.
The 21-year was released at the end of the season and leaves The Den just less than three-years after he arrived from Non League side Brentwood Town.
Mbulu failed to make a first-team appearance, but was named on the bench numerous times, most recently, against Derby County back in January.
“I like to think of my time at Millwall as a learning experience. It was my first professional club, so it was all about learning and developing as a player and a man,” Mbulu said.
“I went there as a 19-year-old boy and in terms of playing style, I was still a child. I grew up at Millwall.
“I learnt how to behave inside and outside of football.
“I always thought I was good, but when I went there it made me open my eyes as to how good you must be to become a good professional.
“Millwall taught me a lot and improved me as a player.”
