MILLWALL chief executive Steve Kavanagh is talking to Wolves to try to strike a permanent deal for Jed Wallace.
Wallace is on loan at Millwall until the end of the season and is likely to leave the Championship cub in the summer.
Wallace, 22, has played eight times for the Lions since re-joining in January, and his permanent acquisition would soften the blow of losing Fred Onyedinma, whom the club haven’t been able to persuade to sign a new contract.
Lions boss Neil Harrisis is hopeful that Wallace will be part of his plans for next season. He said: “We’re trying to have something in writing to enforce it.
“Jed would like to sign a long-term contract, he loves it here.
“It’s an ongoing conversation for Steve.”
