MILLWALL have completed two late deals on transfer deadline day – George Saville moving to Middlesbrough and the Lions replacing him with midfielder Ryan Leonard from Sheffield United.
Millwall chased the signature of Leonard, 26, last summer before he joined the Blades in January. He featured in three league games for them this season. The former Southend man (above) could make his debut against Swansea tomorrow.
Both deals are loans that become permanent moves on January 1. Millwall will pay more than £1million for Leonard, breaking their transfer record for the second time in seven days after the signing of Tom Bradshaw last week.
Saville, 25, moved from Millwall to Wolves in June 2017 and the Lions are set to make at least an £8million profit on him.
